5. Dysmenorrhea or menometrorrhagia.
Retained brown and stretchy blood clots may appear due to one of these menstrual disorders. Dysmenorrhea and menometrorrhagia are always accompanied by severe pains and excessive prolonged bleeding. They can be evaluated only after additional diagnostic studies.
